What you will find here
The practical details, answered plainly
These answers cover booking, fees, payment, preparation, the technology we use, changes to appointments, follow-up between sessions and how your information is handled. They are written for anyone in Malta considering an online nutrition consultation, whether it is your first one or you have worked with a nutritionist before.
Booking and scheduling
Requests are answered within one working day. Appointments are offered across mornings, afternoons and some evenings. If your availability is narrow, say so in the form and the practice will match it where possible. Earlier requests tend to have a wider choice of times.
Nothing is confirmed until you accept the time offered in writing. If none of the proposed slots work, another set is sent.
Book a consultationRequests
Every request sent through the booking form is read the same working day it arrives, and answered within one working day with two or three possible times. Weekend requests are picked up on the next working morning.
Times offered
Mornings, afternoons and some evenings are available. Evening slots go first, so a request that can also use daytime hours usually gets a confirmed time sooner.
Narrow availability
If you can only take calls on certain days, or only before or after a working shift, write that in the message field. The practice matches the booking to the window you give and will say plainly if that window is already full.
Confirmations
Your confirmation email carries the date, the time zone used for the appointment, the video link and the fee agreed. Keep it, because it is also the address you reply to when you need to move a session.
What a consultation costs, and how it is paid
The fee is confirmed in writing before the appointment and depends on session length and whether follow-up is included. Initial consultations cost more than reviews because they run longer. Family bookings are quoted as one session with several people present. There is no subscription and no automatic charge.
Initial session
A first consultation runs longer than a review because it covers your history, your usual week of eating, any recent blood results you bring, and the plan that follows. The quoted fee reflects that length.
Fee depends on session length
Review session
Reviews are shorter and work from the notes of your earlier appointment. They exist to adjust what was already agreed rather than to start again, which is why they cost less than a first session.
Follow-up may be included
Payment
Payment is by bank transfer, or in person if a face-to-face session is arranged. There is no card checkout on this site, and nothing is charged when you submit the booking form.
No subscription, no auto-charge
The exact figure, what it includes and whether a follow-up is part of it are set out in the confirmation email before anything is paid. If the quote does not suit you, simply do not confirm the appointment — no charge is made in that case.
Preparing for the call
Have any recent blood results, a list of medications or supplements, and a rough sense of what you eat in a normal week. A two or three day food diary helps but is optional. You need a phone or computer with a camera and a stable internet connection.
- Recent blood results, if you have them. They are useful, not compulsory — a consultation can go ahead without them.
- A list of medications or supplements you take, including anything bought without a prescription.
- A rough sense of an ordinary week of eating — meals you repeat, meals you skip, and the days that tend to go off plan.
- A phone or computer with a working camera and a stable internet connection. Testing your link a few minutes early saves session time.
Technology and format
Sessions run by video call, and a link is sent with your confirmation. If your connection is unreliable, you can join by phone audio for parts of the session. Written summaries are sent by email afterwards.
Changing, moving or cancelling an appointment
Reply to your confirmation email with a new preferred time. Changes made with reasonable notice are rescheduled without extra charge. Late cancellations may be handled differently, and this is explained when your appointment is confirmed.
Moving a session
Reply to your confirmation with the days and times that now suit you. A replacement time is sent back, and the original is only released once you accept the new one.
Notice
Changes made with reasonable notice are rescheduled at no extra charge. The notice the practice asks for is stated in your confirmation email, so you know the boundary before you book rather than after.
Late cancellations
Cancellations inside that window may be handled differently. You are told how, in writing, when the appointment is confirmed — never discovered later.
When requests are read
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Requests that arrive outside those hours are read on the next working morning.
Call +356 2134 5678 or email [email protected] if you would rather not use the form.
Who this service is not for
It is not a replacement for medical care. If you need a diagnosis, medication, or hospital dietetic treatment, this is the wrong service and you will be told so. Children are seen with a parent or guardian present.
For a diagnosis, a prescription or hospital dietetic care, your GP is the right first stop. This desk will say so rather than take the booking.
Younger clients are seen with a parent or guardian present for the whole session, and the appointment is booked as a family session.
If you are unsure whether your situation fits, describe it in the booking request. You will get a straight answer, including when the answer is that somewhere else would serve you better.
More questions, answered
The answers below cover follow-up, privacy, and the small details that are easier to read than to ask about. Open any row for the full answer.
How does follow-up between sessions work?
Short questions by email are welcome and answered during working hours. This is not an emergency service. For anything urgent, contact your GP or the emergency number.
What happens to my notes and my personal information?
Session notes are kept so follow-up appointments make sense, and your information is not sold or shared for marketing. The privacy policy explains what is stored and how to request a copy or deletion.
Do I have to commit to more than one session?
No. Each appointment is booked on its own and quoted on its own. If a first session gives you what you needed, that is a complete outcome. Reviews are there for people who want to adjust the plan later, and nothing about them is automatic.
Can several family members be seen in one session?
Yes. Family bookings are quoted as one session with several people present. Mention how many people will join in the booking form so the time set aside matches the conversation.
I would rather meet in person. Is that possible?
The practice is based at 14 Triq il-Kbira, Sliema SLM 1540. Where a face-to-face session is arranged, payment can be made in person. Ask about it in the booking form rather than assuming it, so the right kind of appointment is set up.
What if my internet drops during the call?
You can join by phone audio for parts of the session if your connection is unreliable. Tell the practice at the start of the call, and the summary by email afterwards will cover anything you could not hear properly.
Still not sure, or ready to book?
If your question is not answered above, send it through the contact page and you will get a reply within one working day. If you already know what you need, the booking form takes a couple of minutes and nothing is charged when you send it.
